Pedestrian Safety Improvements for Large Poultry Factory
Location: Ballymena, Northern Ireland
A leading Poultry business needed to safely direct the movement of staff, fork lift trucks and vehicles at a new factory, with Emtek being asked to provide robust workplace safety railings that would be easy to maintain and clean.
Working closely with the engineering and safety teams we provided our iFlex Traffic Plus Barriers, capable of taking heavy vehicle and fork lift truck impacts, whilst safely guiding staff through the factory. Manufactured from A-Safe’s unique iFlex polymer material, it allows the railings to absorb energy upon impact from a workplace vehicle strike, then reform to the original state. This solution helps reduce long term product maintenance for the client and can also be easily cleaned down. The bright yellow colour of the railings was of particular benefit to the client to help aid clear demarcation of pedestrian walkways and vehicle areas.
